Character With A Smile

This weekend I made a cake for a very special person.  My nephew turned 2 years old last week.  In my book, cake was in order.  Not just any cake, but his favorite character.  Elmo...lol  He was so excited to see Elmo's face. It was worth the time spent squeezing out all those little red stars. Too cute!

Feeling Upside Down?

Hmmmmm........ What to bake after a long week with many twists and turns.....How about this Pineapple Upside Down cake with cream cheese frosting!  Sounds like a plan to me!  Today a made a 9" and a mini version.  Hubby ate the mini.  I'm hoping the 9er will last for dessert tomorrow night, but it's just early too tell....lol

Never Too Late

It's never too late to start something that you've always wanted to do.  Over 20 years ago I wanted to take a cake decorating class, needless to say that never transpired until 4 months ago.  Sometimes we get caught up in life and have to outweighs want to.  Life is much too short and with that being said, it's time to start squeezing in the want to!
